Balance - Pranayama Breathing Exercise

Overview

"Balance," also known as the Harmony pattern in the Pranayama app, is designed to harmonize psycho-emotional processes, improve the general emotional background, boost mood, and enhance mindfulness and stress resistance.

Breathing Patterns

Levels

  • Basic Level

  • Pattern: 1:3:2:1 (Inhale: Hold Inside: Exhale: Hold Outside)

  • Duration: Each cycle takes 7 seconds.

  • Objective: To start harmonizing the emotional state with a slightly longer internal hold.

  • Advanced Level

  • Pattern: 1:4:2:1

  • Duration: Each cycle takes 8 seconds.

  • Objective: To deepen the harmonization effect with an extended internal breath hold.

  • Posture: Maintain a comfortable seated position with a straight back, either on a cushion or chair.
  • Focus: Pay attention to the rhythm and flow of your breath, especially during the holds, to maximize the harmonizing effect.

Caution

  • Avoid practicing this pattern in a physically or emotionally exhausted state.
